Two Jewish community members in Edison decided that the pre-Yom Tov season was the right time to raise awareness of and funds for the work of the Israel Chesed Center. Cindy Baruch organized a bake sale for Israel on Wednesday, Sept. 25, hosted by Elle Lieblich, with all proceeds directed to the Israel Chesed Center. Baruch reported that the response from friends and neighbors was phenomenal—community members contributed over 75 baked goods, which raised $3,000 for the center.
