Linking Northern and Central NJ, Bronx, Manhattan, Westchester and CT

Families of Gan and Bnos Aliya students enjoyed a Sunday morning of apple picking, despite the rainy weekend weather. Each family took home a fanny pack and apple-inspired recipes for Rosh Hashanah. Shana Tova!

Students at both campuses had the wonderful opportunity to learn about bees and honey from Farmer Menachem, and his wife Malka, from @thebirdsandthebeesbrooklyn. They explored the life of honey bees, including the roles of the queen bee and worker bees. Students got to touch and feel honeycomb, beeswax and even lip balm! They also saw a portable hive (don’t worry, it was locked!) containing about 7,000 bees.
