The children at the Iris Berman Early Childhood Center have been observing as their caterpillars made their chrysalises and grew into butterflies over the last few weeks. They decided to collaborate on the best plan to create their own indoor caterpillar habitat. After observing caterpillars outdoors, they knew caterpillars like to live in dirt, grass and leaves, so they went outside to collect some of each. It is remarkable to witness what two and three year olds can do.
