Bris Avrohom of Jersey City Visits With Community

(Courtesy of Bris Avrohom) Prior to Rosh Hashanah, Rabbi Baruch Lepkivker of Bris Avrohom of Jersey City, and Rabbi Mordechai Kanelsky of Bris Avrohom, met with Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop. The rabbis presented the mayor with jars of honey and a Hebrew calendar. Rabbi Lepkivker then blew the shofar for the mayor and shared with him the significance of all the Jewish holidays celebrated during this month.

Bris Avrohom of Jersey City is involved with the Russian and Israeli communities. For the holidays, honey was distributed to, and the shofar was blown for, Jewish seniors as well as at offices and companies in Jersey City. Rabbi Lepkivker also put tefillin on many individuals and spoke to them about the holidays.

Bris Avrohom of Jersey City is pleased to announce that the building of its permanent shul is well underway. They are anticipating completing the construction soon and to developing the community.
