(Courtesy of Olami Rutgers) On Oct. 7, students from Rutgers University attended Olami’s commemoration event to honor the fallen, hear stories of heroism and reaffirm their commitment to combat antisemitism while working toward a future free from such tragedies.
Rabbi Meir Goldberg, director of Olami Rutgers, remarked: “Despite attempts by pro-Palestinian protesters to disrupt the event, the commemoration served as a powerful unifying experience for our students. We had stations where students wrote letters to soldiers, wrapped tefillin in memory of the fallen, and planted flowers in honor of those lost at the Nova festival. Together with other student organizations, we listened to the story of an IDF soldier and sang in unity.”
