Moriah kindergarten students enjoyed learning about the artist Vincent Van Gogh. Through an in depth discussion they learned about his life. They looked at many of his drawings and paintings and noticed that he often used the color yellow in his work. They also noticed that he painted people and nature, in particular sunflowers. They then set out to create their own beautiful Van Gogh-inspired sunflowers. They spoke about the features of a sunflower. The children painted and drew beautiful sunflower masterpieces to adorn their families’ Shavuot tables.
