Some Thoughts on a Few of the Races in This Upcoming Election

I am writing this message to inform you of my preferred candidates for our local and statewide elections.

Mayor Michael Wildes, who has represented the city of Englewood for many years, is running on the Democratic line. Please make sure to vote for him. Michael is an outstanding mayor. Very important to cast your vote on this. He is running against a Free Palestine candidate. (Code words for antisemitism)

Congressman Josh Gottheimer running on the Democratic line for congress. Has been an outstanding representative.

Dan Tokayer is running for the at-large council seat and is expected to represent all of Englewood. The prior council person facilitated antisemitism voices at council hearings and the voters displaced him in the primary election. He is running against two off line candidates and our vote on this is important.

Curtis Bashaw for New Jersey Senate. Curtis is running on the Republican line and although considered an underdog in this race, on issues related to U.S.-Israel relations would likely be much better than Andy Kim, who is considered to have a very poor record on this issue while serving as a representative.

The other races are important, but I will reserve my opinion on them.
