Congregation Netivot Shalom will welcome back dynamic Torah educator Rabbi Yitzchak Etshalom as their scholar-in-residence to speak after kiddush on Shabbat, June 24.
Rabbi Etshalom was last a scholar-in-residence at Netivot Shalom in the summer of 2011.
Rabbi Etshalom is currently a Tanach and Gemara instructor at the Yeshiva University of Los Angeles (YULA) High Schools and is also a popular speaker, storyteller, radio host, songwriter and author in the Los Angeles area. He has published two volumes of “Between the Lines of the Bible,” which use archaeology, anthropology, literary analysis and other methods to combine new insights into the Torah with traditional interpretations.
