I am sitting at my kitchen table on Wednesday morning looking out my window: I see a clear blue sky; my neighbor’s tree has turned a vibrant mix of orange and yellow. It is so unseasonably warm that I am going to stop typing for a moment and open my patio door. I cannot recall a November this temperate, so I’m now thinking of taking my laptop outside and finishing this article from my lounge chair. The headlines all around me broadcast words like “Historical!” and “Never Before Seen!” Are they talking about this weather or did something huge just happen? I am getting way too distracted this morning by the news and this weather. From the looks of it the stock market is going to rally today.

So let’s recap: amazing weather, stock market rally, Donald Trump is our new president …

Oh yeah—the average price of a house sold in Teaneck, Bergenfield and New Milford is virtually unchanged from a year ago and, in some welcome news for buyers, there are definitely more homes on the market now than there were a year ago … but only slightly more.

Sounds like it’s gonna be quite a day. What could possibly go wrong?
