On the opening night for the He’Atid Hurricanes seventh grade boys, the team started their season facing off against the BPY Bolts. He’Atid started the game off strong. Having finished their last season as division champions, they looked to get this new season started off on the right foot. Jack Weiss demonstrated great play-making abilities with Natan Dorfman and Natan Kalina contributing stellar offense. Ezra Barzideh continued to be unstoppable crashing the boards. The boys were able to maintain a strong lead throughout the game and finished the game with a win.
In the second game of the evening, the girls team continued to keep the momentum going. The girls previously had their opening game last week with a strong win against the Ashar Sharks. In the Hurricane’s second game of the season, the girls took control against the Bolts and blew ahead to an 18-6 lead to finish the first quarter. The girls continued to keep a double digit lead throughout the game. Strong rebounding with key offensive and defensive contributions from Rachel Bitton, Atara Cooper and Nicole Pruzansky helped the girls finish with a solid win. The Hurricanes look forward to the rest of their season and are eagerly awaiting hosting their very first home game in their brand new gym!
