The Dor L’Dor group at Congregation Ahavath Torah, 240 Broad Avenue in Englewood will be running a trip to the Neue Galerie, 1058 Fifth Avenue in Manhattan, to view artist Egon Shiele’s exhibit “Living Landscapes” on Wednesday, November 20.
Artist Egon Shiele (1890-1918) was an Austrian Expressionist painter whose work is noted for its intensity. A prolific painter during his short and scandalous life, he was mentored by artist Gustav Klimt.
The full-day program, beginning at 10:30 a.m., includes: a delicious brunch, a lecture with slides by Sheryl Urman at Ahavath Torah, comfortable bus transportation to/from the museum, the museum entrance fee and snacks.
Award-winning artist and Englewood resident Sheryl Intrator Urman has been involved in the art world for almost 30 years. She is a visual artist specializing in painting and has participated in numerous exhibitions throughout the United States and internationally. She is an art curator and art lecturer to groups of all ages,
The full-day program costs $75. Reservation and payment must be received by November 15. For brunch and the lecture only, the charge is $25. Seating on the bus is limited, so please reserve early.
