Mazal Tov! It is with great excitement we announce that Yeshivat Noam and Yavneh Academy tied for first place in the Celebrate Israel 2017 Marching Contest. Both Bergen County schools will receive $500 towards the 2018 parade registration.
Yavneh Academy and Yeshivat Noam proudly marched up Fifth Avenue showing support and love for Israel at this year’s parade.
Yavneh Academy’s theme, “Israel All Together,” was depicted through banners and cutouts showing that Israel is a melting pot, home to over six million Jews of different cultural, national and religious backgrounds; A thriving democracy where all Jews are united through shared history, goals and dreams for the future.
Yeshivat Noam’s theme, “Building Israel Together,” was depicted through costumes and props. Dressed in construction attire including hard hats, vests and tool belts, the students, parents and faculty held props representing the landmarks of Israel that the Jewish people have built together.
Yeshivat Noam and Yavneh Academy extend hakarat hatov to their amazing parade committees for all the hard work and effort invested in this year’s presentations.
They’re already looking forward to next year’s parade tentatively scheduled for June 3.
