The center is proud to work with such a diverse population and provides compassionate care without regard to a patient’s ethnicity, religion or economic background.

“Mission” is the key word that characterizes Bnai Zion’s employees. Its high quality workforce is responsible for the empathetic, inclusive and respectful treatment experience that patients receive, for the medical excellence of which the center is proud and for the implementation of the projects that have been selected to provide significant added value outside Bnai Zion walls.

Bnai Zion’s management sees the staff as partners, the torch bearers and the driving force in their journey. The staff is motivated to justify the trust placed on them by the patients and their families, and they strive to contribute to the society in which they live and work.

The patient experience at Bnai Zion is one of the strengths of the medical center. What sets it apart is the service concept based on soft skills.

Empathy, inclusiveness, compassion and humanity are not words that hang on a pretty poster on the wall. They occupy a place of honor in the treatment routine and are an intrinsic part of the medical center’s DNA. The nursing and medical teams are also attentive to the emotional aspect; they listen between the lines, and it is important for them to get to know the patient beyond his or her medical record.

The center is home to northern Israel’s only Soldier Rehabilitation Department and new War-Fortified Underground Hospitalization Complex, making Bnai Zion a safe haven for patients, their families and friends.

But it is also much more than that. The facility is at the forefront of implementing new and innovative techniques and technologies to provide the best care possible.

For example, its adolescent unit works with ‘clients’ not ‘patients’ and treats both their mental wellbeing as well as their physical health. The center also makes use of integrated medicine to offer acupuncture and hypnosis among other procedures when these can prove to be helpful for a patient’s treatment or recovery.

By looking after some of the most vulnerable in society, Bnai Zion embodies the beauty of what can be achieved when people from different cultures and backgrounds work together for the good of the community.
