(Courtesy of Bris Avrohom) Upon the advice of the Rebbe that one should celebrate his birthday with his community and express gratitude for the ability to do so, Rabbi Avremy Kanelsky celebrated his birthday with the community of Bris Avrohom. Rabbi Avremy shared discourses of the Rebbe and explained to the attendees the significance of a birthday — that a person’s soul has a special mazel on the day of his birthday, as the Ribono Shel Olam chose that day to send his soul to this world with a mission to do good deeds and elevate his surroundings to a higher standard.
