Ramaz sophomores visited LifeTown, a 53,000 square foot inclusive and accessible center for individuals with special abilities and their families for a day of service and fun. Students were paired with buddies from Friendship Circle for a day of bonding through fun activities and job training. They began by splitting off into smaller groups for challah baking, cookie making, a drum circle, sports, a jungle gym and more! After lunch, they explored the Village, a simulated town square with streets, traffic lights, a park, sidewalks and shops. Students and their buddies practiced real-life skills and jobs together in this supportive environment. After students said goodbye to their buddies, they got together to debrief about the day and their takeaways with their teachers.
