Inspired by Avraham Avinu, Cheder Yaldei Menachem delved into the mitzvah of hachnasat orchim, inviting guests. While some children practiced setting the table, others prepared delicious food to serve. More importantly, they explored what makes guests feel welcome, then exercised those skills as great hosts. The highlight was when students of first grade built a tent in the playground, similar to Avraham’s, for all the children to play the parsha. It provided an opportunity to solidify what they learned. When all was said and done, everyone thanked Hashem! CYM is truly following in the footsteps of Avraham and Sarah!
