Yavneh seventh graders had an unforgettable few days at Frost Valley! The adventure began with a bright morning of davening, a delicious breakfast and a bus ride full of excitement. Upon arrival, the students quickly settled in and dove into team-building activities that focused on leadership, collaboration and communication. They took on challenges such as ziplining, rock climbing and even outdoor survival skills including fire-building and shelter construction. With inspiring learning sessions on topics like Jewish history, nature and STEM, the students also enjoyed some downtime playing sports, relaxing and bonding with the banot sherut. A highlight was the thrilling knee hockey tournament, where the Rangers were crowned champions in a dramatic overtime win.
The evenings were filled with captivating presentations, including The Birdman bringing a red-tailed hawk and Snake Man who introduced a variety of reptiles. The students also gathered around the bonfire to enjoy S’mores, music and a kumzitz, reflecting on their growth throughout the trip. It’s been amazing to see the transformation in their teamwork and leadership skills, and Yavneh couldn’t be more proud of their enthusiasm and engagement. A huge thank you to Yavneh’s dedicated faculty and staff for making this experience possible!
