Joseph Kushner Hebrew Academy middle school students and SINAI@JKHA students enjoyed doing activities together in one of the SINAI classrooms this week. The JKHA students had recently read “Because of Mr. Terupt,” a novel about a teacher trying to instill empathy in his students. Unlike the students in the book for whom meeting children with disabilities was an unusual event, students at JKHA interact with their SINAI peers on a regular basis to the benefit of all.
