On Monday, July 24, the Fair Lawn Jewish Day Camp celebrated its 10th year in existence with a record number of over 400 campers, plus staff, counselors and special-activity instructors. This event was marked with a photo op with Bris Avrohom and Fair Lawn Jewish Day Camp staff and public officials.
Proclamations were presented to the camp declaring July 24 to be Fair Lawn Jewish Day Camp Day.
The Fair Lawn Jewish Day Camp is run by Rabbi Mendel and Mrs. Elke Zaltzman. It is under the auspices of Bris Avrohom of Fair Lawn, founded by Rabbi Mordechai Kanelsky and under the leadership of Rabbi Cantor Berel Zaltzman and Rabbi Mendel and Mrs. Elke Zaltzman. The center provides services to the Russian Jewish community and the general community in Bergen County who came to America for a better future, with all that is necessary to connect them to Judaism.
