“Uh oh,” shrieks the mom, “My kid just told me that her basketball game is on the same day as the dentist appointment I made for her weeks ago. Help!!”
In today’s fast-paced world, nearly every profession has software to make the job more manageable. Yet, the most critical job of all—motherhood—has long gone unsupported in this way. That’s where Vivs, an AI-powered assistant for moms, comes in. Founded by Brandon Lurie, Vivs aims to ease the mental load carried by mothers worldwide, providing a central hub to streamline the many demands of parenting.
“My mother was named Viv; that’s who the product is named after,” explained Lurie, founder and CEO of Vivs. “I always thought she was too busy and couldn’t manage everything.”
Growing up in Los Angeles, attending NYU, and making aliyah to Israel eight years ago, Lurie developed a love for startups and venture capitals. But it wasn’t until the October 7 war that he felt compelled to tackle the challenges faced by mothers.
“I was reading stories of many mothers who needed assistance in their ‘job of mothering,’” Lurie recalled. Recognizing the immense mental load mothers bear—grocery shopping, carpools, lists of lists, appointments—he envisioned a solution. “So I thought about creating this central hub for motherhood.”
Based in Jerusalem, Vivs is proud to be part of Israel’s thriving startup ecosystem. The company has already raised capital from angel investors and venture capital firms, allowing it to develop its innovative platform.
Launched recently in November 2024, Vivs has quickly gained traction, with hundreds of moms already using the platform. At its core, Vivs helps moms manage and automate daily tasks, freeing them to focus on what matters most.
One of its standout features is personalized meal planning. “Moms can sign up and receive daily ideas, called the ‘Morning Dose,’ with three dinner ideas made specifically for their family, sent directly to their email inbox every morning,” Lurie said. Unlike generic recipe platforms, Vivs takes into account allergies, dietary preferences, tastes, preparation methods and time constraints. The AI even generates weekly grocery lists based on chosen recipes, ensuring that meal prep is seamless.
But Vivs goes beyond dinner. Future updates will include:
Automated Reminders: Never forget an Amazon return or a school event again.
Pantry Management: Scan grocery lists to keep an inventory of household items. The system will auto-delete items as they’re used and suggest meal ideas based on what’s available.
Smart Scheduling: If that dentist appointment conflicts with basketball practice, Vivs will find and reschedule it for you, based on your calendar and the dentist’s availability.
Comprehensive Dashboards: A centralized hub for tracking appointments, carpools, shopping lists, and even kids’ growth and dietary needs.
“The founding engineer and I are working together in a garage—classic startup scenario,” Lurie shared with a smile. That scrappy beginning has paid off, with Vivs now expanding its reach. Partnerships with local organizations, such as the Teaneck Women’s Mikvah, have helped the platform grow in New Jersey and New York communities, including Fair Lawn, New Rochelle and Riverdale.
Free to use, Vivs plans to introduce a premium tier for additional features. The company is also engaging with influencers on Instagram, encouraging moms to join the movement and become part of the Vivs community.
The ultimate vision for Vivs is ambitious: to be the central hub for motherhood. Lurie envisions a future where moms can rely on AI to manage everything from daily errands to long-term planning. “Eventually, moms will have a dashboard for all their work streams,” he said. “Appointments, carpools, items missing like food and toiletries, even clothing—all tracked via AI.”
It’s not just about logistics. Vivs is designed to honor the importance of motherhood itself. “Moms are the most important people with the most important job in the world,” Lurie emphasized. “With Vivs, we’re giving them the tools to thrive.”
As the platform continues to grow, Vivs is poised to become an essential tool for moms everywhere. By reducing the mental load of parenting, Vivs ensures that mothers can focus on what truly matters—their families.
So, if you’re ready to join the movement and be your best mom, visit the Vivs website, and sign up for the Morning Dose as well. Together with Vivs, you can revolutionize motherhood.
