RYNJ third graders are excited about their amazing כד שמן projects! Over the course of several weeks, the students are using many steps to create their jars. First, they shaped their jars using balloons, cups and bowls to create the form. Next, using layers of plaster of Paris, they carefully covered their structures. Finally, this coming week, they will add the handles and other special finishing touches. These masterpieces will surely enhance the students’ understanding of oil jars in the Chanukah story!
