The Moriah School kindergarten students are so excited to begin the new school year! The children are eager to share about themselves and learn more about their new classmates. Teachers launched a unit entitled, “All About Me!” in which they developed the idea that some attributes about people are the same, and some are different. Students noted that they all have bodies, like to learn and are Jewish. Additionally, they understood that some of them live in houses and some in apartments, they have different hair and eye color and wear different clothing. Students learned that some things are easier for them to do, like pumping on a swing and coloring, and some things are more challenging, like riding a two-wheeler and ice skating. Students can’t wait to find out more about their new friends as the year unfolds.
