On The Table and T&Bee Honey Partner for Yad Leah Fundraiser

This time of year is particularly busy, between back to school—which, for many people also means back to work as well—and preparation for Rosh Hashanah. On The Table has been scouring artisan websites and private sales to find the perfect accent to any Yom Tov table, from apple-shaped nesting dishes, to bee-shaped salt and pepper shakers to every honey dish imaginable. In addition to the material preparation, for the third year, Rachel Kupfer and the staff at On The Table will be selling T&Bee Honey. This honey is locally produced, bottled and labeled. All the money raised from the honey sale will go to Yad Leah, another local organization.

For those unfamiliar with Yad Leah, it was started by Teaneck residents who recognized the need in Israel for good-quality gently used clothing. It has since expanded to provide bridal wardrobes and baby layette clothing, and serves over 30 communities in Israel. Yad Leah’s headquarters remain in New Jersey and their name has become synonymous with providing quality assistance in a dignified manner.

For the third year of this fundraiser, Rachel is hoping to send money to Yad Leah and also create an awareness throughout the community of what Yad Leah does. “The first year we ran this we raised $1,800. Last year we raised $5,000, and this year we hope to surpass even that number,” she said.

The honey comes in four flavors—vanilla, chocolate, coffee and cinnamon—and this year they are introducing a sea salt honey flavor. If anyone who lives beyond the Teaneck area is interested in this unique and tasty honey, On The Table ships all over America.

“On The Table is more than just a tableware store,” said Rachel. “We are a part of the community, and that’s part of why we incorporate seasonal fundraisers.”

Visit On The Table at 1454 Queen Anne Road in Teaneck and pick up the flavorful honey in person, or call 201-342-1089 to place an order.
