The YM-YWHA of Union County will host its annual Open House Event at 501 Green Lane in Union this Sunday, September 17.
The hours are 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and all events are free of charge and open to the community. Events include “Uncle John’s Traveling Musical Puppet Show” at 1 p.m., followed by an ice cream party (for children). For adults there will be two films: At 12 noon, “The Rat Slayer of Hillside” will be shown, with speaker Roz Charnes, and at 1:15 p.m., the classic film “Crossing Delancey Street” will be shown. Information and registration for all upcoming programs and events, and light refreshments will be available, and a special coupon book will only be available to those who attend.
The Union Y Camp 2018 early bonus discount will end on that day, so please bring in your forms for next summer to get the greatest financial benefit. The first swim team meeting of the Sharks 2017-18 season will also be held at 1 p.m. that day.
