On Shabbat, September 15 and 16, Congregation Beth Abraham will welcome Dr. Yael Ziegler as a scholar-in-residence. All presentations, except Seudah Shlishit, are open to both men and women and will take place in the shul.
The schedule of presentations is as follows:

Shabbat morning after main minyan (approximately 11:30): “Avinu Malkeinu: Shirat HaYam and Shirat Haazinu”
Pre-Mincha, 5:15: “The Lottery, the Goats and Avraham’s Sons”
Seudah Shlishit for women at the Saks home (25 Highgate Terrace), 6:40: “Eliyahu: Prophet of Doom or Prophet of Repentance?”
Dr. Yael Ziegler is a senior lecturer in Tanach at Herzog College and Matan. She holds a B.A. from Stern College and an M.A. and Ph.D. from Bar-Ilan University. Dr. Ziegler has lectured on Tanach topics in Israel, the United States, South Africa, Australia and Europe. She is the author of “Promises to Keep: The Oath in Biblical Narrative,” “Ruth: From Alienation to Monarchy” and a book on Megilat Eikhah scheduled for publication in 2019. Dr. Ziegler lives in Alon Shvut, Israel, with her husband and their five children.
