Women’s Initiative for Jewish Studies (WIJS) at Young Israel of New Rochelle is proud to present Dr. Yosefa Fogel Wruble on Sunday, January 5, at 10:30 a.m. on Zoom. She will be the fourth speaker of the 2024-2025 season in the monthly scholarly programming offered by WIJS at YINR.
Fogel Wruble will speak on the topic “Family Dynamics in Sefer Bereishit.” The Torah opens with universal familial struggles and, in many ways, seems to present a list of less than optimal ways to navigate them. This shiur will explore these family dynamics and what they are supposed to teach us today.
Fogel Wruble teaches Tanach, biblical exegesis and Jewish thought at the Migdal Oz Bet Midrash and is a lecturer at Herzog College and Herzog Global. She hosts a widely acclaimed weekly parsha podcast for Matan Women’s Institute for Torah Study, where she has high-level discussions with Torah scholars. She is a Nishmat-certified yoetzet halacha, a madrichat kallot and a sexual educator.
