Naaleh celebrated the first day of Chanukah with a special learning program after davening. While enjoying a bagel breakfast, the students engaged in a zayit-themed learning program, exploring the concept of impurities and how to discern which ideas to embrace and which to filter out. The program, developed by Naaleh’s Halacha Department Chair Rabbi Zev Goldberg, and the student-led LIFT committee, was followed by a beautiful school-wide recitation of Hallel. Later, the ninth graders had a Chanukah party including an epic dreidel spin-off. It was a wonderful way to usher in the holiday together.
