Construction Minister Calls for Deportation of Terrorist Families

(Yona Schnitzer/TPS) Construction Minister Yoav Galant called Tuesday for expelling terrorists and their families from Israel to Syria.

Speaking following the terror attack in Har Adar in which three Israelis were killed, Galant said Israel must react harshly to terrorists.

“We must draw a clear distinction between terrorists and Palestinians who are not involved in terror, and act harshly against those who are involved, as well as against their families,” Galant said.

“It is very simple: if you want to live side by side in cooperation with Israelis and work here, you are very welcome. If you want to kill Israelis, we will deport you—not to Gaza, but to Syria,” he added.

“Despite the fact that our dead are laid out in front of us, and that these are hard times, we must remember that Palestinian prosperity is an Israeli interest. Against terrorists we must act harshly, including exiling families, [but with] simple construction workers, we must check them thoroughly and allow them to make a living.”
