The Humble Toast Sportstar Of the Week: Itai Seff

The Jewish Link and The Humble Toast would like to recognize Itai Seff as this week’s Sportstar of the Week. The Westchester Day School seventh grader is one of the stars of the WDS Wild Hockey team. Wild are currently tied for second place in the YMSSA White Hockey division. Seff is known for his skill, hustle and keeping his teammates hyped.

When asked about Itai, WDS Wild coach Ari Loren told the Jewish Link: “Itai is a true team player. Whether we need him at forward or on defense, he is willing and ready to pitch in for whatever is needed. He is incredibly tenacious and hard working- he plays every shift like it is the most important shift of the season and gives his all at all times. Itai is also a very good communicator during games and practices, making sure to share what he sees and senses is going on around him. Itai always looks to see what he can do to make those around him better. Whether paired up with a smaller speed demon or a big strong net front presence, Itai has a knack of knowing what he needs to do to get the most out of those he is playing with. But perhaps most importantly, Itai Seff is a good kid. He cares for the well being of others and is truly happy at his team and teammates successes. Itai truly exemplifies what it means to be a sportstar.”
