MTA Lions Beat Rams In Nail-Biter, 55-53

On Motzei Shabbos, the MTA Lions hosted the Ramaz Rams in a game that kept everyone on the edge of their seats until the final buzzer. In an intense back-and-forth battle, the Lions pulled out a clutch 55-53 victory, improving their record to an impressive 11-1 this season.

Senior Jakey Abenaim led the way for MTA, dropping 17 points and dishing out six assists. He was unstoppable, slicing through the Rams’ defense and hitting some key shots down the stretch. Senior center Josh Treuhaft was dominant in the paint, putting up 12 points, grabbing eight rebounds, and adding three assists.

The juniors also stepped up big. Efraim Avramov scored nine points, while Andi Richman and Gavi Engel chipped in eight points each. Engel also snagged six rebounds, dominating the boards when it mattered most.

This win has the Lions fired up. If they keep playing like this, I would keep my eyes on them when the Sarachek Tournament comes around.
