On Motzei Shabbat, Feb. 1 at 7 p.m., the Cinematic and the Israeli Center at the Kaplen JCC will present a screening of the film “The Return From the Other Planet,” followed by a Q&A with film director Asaf Lapid.

“The Return from the Other Planet” is a documentary about Yechiel De-Nur, a Holocaust survivor who rose to literary fame under the pen name Ka-Tzetnik. The film delves into De-Nur’s life, exploring how his Holocaust experiences shaped his identity and creative work. Through his deeply personal books, he shared the unimaginable horrors of the Holocaust, leaving a lasting impact on global memory and understanding. The film will be shown in the Eric Brown Theater.
