Regarding the “Back-Backstories on ‘The Bergen County Moment’” (September 28, 2017), permit me to add another but more accurate “back” to the story of the origins of Congregation Beth Aaron. It was in fact founded by my brother, Rabbi Meir Gottesman around 1970 in a private home located at 325 West Englewood Ave., a few houses down from the current location of Rinat Israel, and was named for my father, Rabbi Aaron L. Gottesman, a”h, who for many years led a small congregation (Beth David) from our home in Jersey City. Beth Aaron relocated to the Queen Anne side of town following my brother’s move to Toronto.
