RPRY Holds In-School Gubernatorial Election

RPRY’s third grade with Emily Menasha learned about the gubernatorial election and the electoral process. They researched the candidates and presented to each class in the school to ensure that the student body would be well informed voters. Each student in lower and middle school engaged in a voter registration process, and on election day the third graders ran the election booths. Walking through hallways filled with posters telling students to get out and vote, classes poured in and out of the beit midrash where the polls were held. Every third grader took responsibility for a specific part in the election process. Some students greeted the voters, others checked in voters, while others monitored the voting booths and ballot boxes. After the school voted, the numbers were counted and the results were nearly tied!
