A group of RKYHS students joined students from Science Park High School in Newark on a trip to Washington, D.C. to visit the Holocaust Memorial Museum and Martin Luther King and Lincoln Memorials. The group was joined on this trip by Holocaust survivor, Peter Fleishman, who told his moving and inspirational story to the students. This unique experience provided an opportunity for students to meet contemporaries from Newark, as each group learned from one another. This Morris Rubell Remembrance Journey, which aims to teach the lessons of the Holocaust through school trips and educational opportunities for young people of all races and religions, was sponsored by the Paula and Jerry Gottesman Family Supporting Foundation.
