Dance Again: A Women-Only Event to Honor Nova Survivors

On Thursday, February 27 at 8 p.m., Rosh Chodesh Adar, a group of women from Bergen County will host “Dance Again: A Women-Only Event,” with the proceeds going directly to benefit survivors of the Nova Music Festival through an organization called Hakvutza. Inspired by similar events that took place a few months ago in New York and Miami, the event’s hosts thought it would be the perfect way to usher in the month of Adar, while paying tribute to the brave men and women of Israel who survived October 7, 2023, and who continue to fight and demonstrate extraordinary resilience and courage.

The idea of “Dance Again” is to bring Jewish women together from all different backgrounds to be able to dance in the spirit of the incredible survivors of the Nova Music Festival. Rebecca Tenzer, one of the event’s organizers, explained. “We wanted to create a space where women just come together, just for the sake of being together, to celebrate and honor those who went through the horrors of October 7, with the focus of channeling our love of Am Yisrael and honoring both victims and survivors of the Nova Festival.”

The event is open to all women 21 and over, who are invited to come sing and dance, enjoy an open bar and fabulous display of snacks and refreshments, while also having the opportunity to purchase Israeli-themed merchandise from a great group of vendors. “Dance Again” promises to be an inspiring evening filled with music, dancing and singing, to warm the heart and feed the soul.

Disc jockey Vee aka Aviva Vogel will spin both Israeli and secular tracks while the Israeli boutique Rockets Into Roses will be on hand displaying its dazzling array of handmade sculptures fashioned out of rocket metal that has landed in Israel. Look for Georgia Eve, Axl Zoe and Nomi Knows to purchase some of their fun and fabulous personalized jewelry and accessories.

Tenzer added, “This is sure to be a moving, impactful and special night of achdut and celebration of resilience—We Will Dance Again!”

Following October 7, hundreds of individuals were admitted to hospitals for mental health issues, and your support will help provide much-needed mental health services and resources to Nova survivors.
