WTA Fourth Grade Celebrates State Fair

WTA’s fourth grade students recently completed their in-depth study of the 50 states, culminating in an impressive state fair that showcased their hard work and dedication. The event was a true celebration of the students’ research, creativity and the rich diversity of the United States. The school was thrilled to have so many parents, grandparents and special friends attend, giving everyone a chance to experience the culmination of months of learning firsthand.

Each student put a unique spin on their project, delving into the history, geography, culture and notable features of their assigned state. The fair was brought to life with students dressing in attire representing the culture and traditions of their chosen state. Whether they donned cowboy hats to represent Texas or vibrant costumes for Hawaii, the students truly embodied the essence of their states. In addition to their displays, many students delighted guests by bringing in regional foods, such as Idaho potatoes, Georgia peaches and other local delicacies, offering a real taste of the diverse flavors across the country.

The event was not only educational, but also incredibly fun. It was a wonderful opportunity for students to share the knowledge they had gained in a hands-on, interactive way. The fair allowed them to showcase not only their research skills but also their creativity and enthusiasm for learning. WTA is incredibly proud of the dedication and effort the fourth graders put into their projects, and it was clear to everyone who attended just how much they’ve learned throughout this engaging unit.
