Girls Who Code is a unique organization that empowers women in STEM subjects. Every week, the SAR High School Girls Who Code chapter meets with a Barnard computer science major volunteer to learn basic coding principles. This year, the club is learning the programming language called Java which has incredible capabilities and is used by Twitter, Spotify and Facebook. The club is comprised of twenty girls from all four grades and is a great way to get some exposure to computer science!
