Honors and achievements are certainly on the minds and in the hearts of the Bi-Cultural Hebrew Academy of Connecticut family this week. The leadership, faculty and staff at BCHA are very proud to announce that upper school student Max Ferits (BCHA ’25) has been named a U.S. Presidential Scholar Candidate.
The U.S. Presidential Scholars Program honors the nation’s most distinguished graduating high school seniors based on their outstanding academic achievements, including SAT and ACT scores. This prestigious recognition is a testament to Max’s hard work, dedication and excellence in the classroom.
“Max is a remarkable young man,” said Mr. David Giver, BCHA upper school principal. “His pursuit of knowledge, his deep thinking on all that he does, shows that Max has always had an eye and a heart for becoming a high achiever. This candidacy is proof that all of his efforts are seen far beyond our school and community.”
When asked how BCHA impacted his educational journey, Max replied, “The strong foundation I received here has been invaluable. BCHA’s supportive environment, excellent teachers and rigorous curriculum have truly shaped my academic journey.”
Max is the only Stamford student from a Jewish school to be considered for this prestigious honor. Six other students from Stamford also qualified.
All of Max’s fellow BCHA students and his community congratulate Max on this extraordinary achievement. Final winners will be announced in June.
