With snow still falling, it’s hard to believe that springtime is just around the corner, and very soon you will be deep into your Pesach preparation. Before you get busy with all your other obligations, take the time now to book your sheitel appointments to ensure that all your wigs will be glammed up and perfected just in time for your Pesach debut. Whether you’re buying a new piece or repairing and sprucing up an existing wig, wig work, such as coloring and adding hair, takes many hours/days to do. Chances are if you wait till March, you might run the risk of not getting an appointment or have enough time to get your pieces ready and perfected for you.
Every woman wants to look and feel radiant at the Seder. There’s nothing like a new hairstyle to rejuvenate your entire look, allowing for both your inner and outer beauty to shine. Luckily, the hair trends that will dominate this spring are elevated classics that will suit any level of taste and can work well on both new sheitels purchases as well as updating an older sheitel.

Ultra Short Bobs: Bobs and lobs have dominated the go-to short haircut for a few years. But this spring you will see cuts even shorter than in the past. To achieve that “chic French girl look,” cuts will barely graze the shoulder and bobs will hit right at the chin. So many people have been bringing me sheitels where the hair is dead, lifeless and has too many split ends. Revitalizing those wigs with a short sleek cut gives you an extra wig to have fun in and explore a new look for you.
Side Parts: Side parts and side-swept bangs will be making a huge comeback. Also, a flip-over versus an actual defined part is becoming more popular, especially with curly and textured styles. Side parts are universally more complimentary on faces, as they are able to better balance asymmetries in one’s face. If you have a wig that is balding and losing hair, consider changing the part to a side part. This will give you a whole new look while saving you a lot of money in costly repairs.

Fairy Waves: Fairy and mermaid waves on long hair are gaining the spotlight, as they give off a more romantic and whimsical look than the typically perfectly styled curls.
Jane Birkin Bangs: Bangs have experienced the ultimate comeback this past year. Many have already fallen in love with various lengths and thickness of the curtain bang. This year the Birkin Bang is making its premiere appearance. It’s a modernized version of the full bang, layered and parted down the center. Bangs can literally save a sheitel. Whether it’s an older wig with a thicker top or a lace top wig that just either never laid right, or the lace in the front is too stretched and worn out, cutting a bang can turn an unwearable wig into a super trendy flattering look.
’90s “It” Girl Blowout: The beloved ’90s era with supermodel blowouts made famous by Cindy Crawford and Kate Moss, along with volumized brushed out waves, will be the top blowouts requested this year. Think big hair that gives off that “I just woke up like this” effortless, universally flattering vibe. Both looks should appear low maintenance (although it is not), while still maintaining plenty of volume. To maintain the volume in your sheitel between wash and sets, brush your wig upside down and hang on a doorknob upside down in between wears.

Rounded Bob: To elevate a blunt cut, simply blow the ends with a rounded brush, giving it a softer rounder look. Pair this look with or without any type of bang and you’ve instantly transformed your 2024 lob/bob to 2025 style. It’s just that simple!
Center Parts: No need to worry if side parts aren’t your thing. Parting your hair down the middle isn’t going anywhere, and will continue to be big all year long. If you love this look and your wig is in great condition, don’t change a thing; wearing a middle part on a wig is one of the most comfortable parts for wig wearers, as it limits the amount of hair falling into your face.
As with any sheitel transformation you are considering, it’s always best to bring images of your desired look to your stylist while consulting with them. A highly skilled stylist will help you to customize your desired look, accentuating your best features, as well as complementing your face shape. You will leave feeling both rejuvenated and glamourous.
