What a fulfilling and fun day Bruriah’s freshmen had on the annual chesed trip! The freshmen had the opportunity to perform chesed by packing food boxes at Chesed 24/7, packing clothing at Yad Leah to be shipped to Israel and visiting and singing with the elderly at Daughters of Miriam Nursing Home. The freshmen learned about other types of chesed, like Tomchei Shabbos. Finally, a panel of women who dedicate their lives to doing chesed spoke to the freshmen. The students gave and gained during the day. Accompanied by the freshman faculty, the freshmen ended their day at the home of one the freshmen parents with a pizza dinner, dancing and a kumzitz.
