Last Tuesday, the RPRY lower school assembled together to reinforce the hakarat hatov theme of the year through a Thanksgiving program. The student council performed a skit based on the children’s book “A Squash and a Squeeze” by Julia Donaldson. The lesson of appreciating and being thankful for what we have was shared through the skit and reinforced by the student council speakers.
The student council introduced a hakarat hatov thank you card program that they are spearheading this year. They presented Rabbi Loew with a large thank you card, containing personal notes from each student. Grades k through four then created thank you cards for members of the security, office and custodial staff. What a fun and meaningful day!
