The Frisch JV Ice Hockey team secured their first win of the season with a 7-3 victory over West Orange High School at Codey Arena in West Orange. Frisch withstood some thunderous body checks in the opening period (while managing a few of their own) while taking a 3-1 lead.

Gabriel Rosenblatt scored two goals and Michael Adler had a goal and an assist. West Orange scored on a power play goal early in the third period to pull within 5-3, but Rosenblatt, assisted by older brother Zach, knocked in a power play goal to put Frisch up 6-3. A minute and a half later, Zach Gold snapped a wrist shot over the goalie’s shoulder to close out the scoring.

Adir Koenig and Zach Schwartz also scored goals and Rafi Kigner had two assists for Frisch. Ezzy Wachsstock had 21 saves in net for the win.
