Students in the computer graphics course at Bruriah learn the fundamentals of Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop. Topics include image resolution, scanning, importing and exporting images, print set-up, photo adjustments and vector usage. Typography, color theory and graphic design will also be addressed. Students can expect to learn how the three programs work together to create projects for print media, packaging and the web. Taught by Debbie Ezra, who has a master’s degree in design and technology, this course presents a comprehensive overview of the Adobe Creative Suite. Students learn basic exercises to master the computer programs tools and complete projects that will help them become proficient in Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator. This course will integrate the theory of typography and design within each project.
