RYNJ celebrated Tu B’Shevat in a variety of fun and meaningful ways. The day began with an amazing lower school girls music show with an Israel/ Tu B’Shevat theme. Each grade got to perform a song for the other grades, using fun Tu B’Shevat themed props and meaningful messages about Israel that made the show even more special. The early childhood participated in an incredible Tu B’Shevat Fair, led by the eighth grade boys. The boys were divided between four fun craft stations, and were hands-down amazing with the children, patiently and cheerfully leading the activities at each table. Additionally, an RYNJ classroom was magically transformed into an Israeli Shuk. With stalls, music and many goods for “sale,” the children were each given a worksheet and a challenge to complete the brachos for all of the items found in the shuk. They absolutely loved the experience. To top it all off, many classrooms had bracha parties and the middle school girls had an awesome smoothie station. Tu B’Shevat 5785 at RYNJ was fabulous!
