Over the course of the past week, orange balloons began appearing all over the Teaneck and Bergenfield areas. The initiative was kickstarted by the women of Bais Medrash of Bergenfield (BMOB), in memory of Ariel and Kfir Bibas, the redheaded young boys taken hostage by Hamas on October 7, 2023.

The bodies of the Bibas children were returned to Israel on Thursday, February 20, along with the body of their mother, Shiri, and all three were buried in Israel on Wednesday, February 26. Orange balloons were also seen in abundance at the Bibas family funeral.
