The RKYHS blood drive committee, led by co-presidents Becky Weisberg and Gideon Rubin, in conjunction with the American Red Cross, hosted one of the most successful blood drives in school history.
The drive collected 62 pints of blood, which translates into saving 186 lives. Many of the students were first time donors and many alumni, teachers and parents came out to donate as well. The demand for blood, especially this time of the year, is very high. The need is constant and the students’ contribution towards making this a successful drive is important for a healthy and reliable blood supply. It’s a great feeling for the students involved knowing they’ve helped change lives.
