Women know that Carly’z Craze in Teaneck is the address for stylish, affordable everyday basics for themselves and their daughters. But that’s not all. Just before the spring and fall holidays, Carly’z Craze introduces a new collection of beautiful dresses, tops and skirts, perfect for Yom Tov. Spring ’25 styles are in now. Get ready for Pesach, graduations and any event where you want a stunning new outfit.
Carly’z Craze owner Alene Brodsky Bloom showed me the new styles that have just arrived. Maxi is the word for spring. Longer lengths are comfortable and practical. Even teens are embracing maxi in a big way. Carly’z Craze is listening, and has brought in a new line of dresses, tops and maxi skirts made just for teens.

Florals and patterns are always big for spring. This season, there are lots of beautiful button-down dresses in stunning colors, with or without a same fabric belt. Some have drawstring waists so you don’t even need a belt. It’s a new take on the classic shirt dresses. There are dresses in rich purple patchwork patterns and multi-hued greens and blues. Pinks in various shades abound. Necklines are getting a makeover. V-neck tops are adding versatility to modesty. There’s just enough of a dip to make it interesting.
Fabrics run the range of textures. Gauze is a light but opaque fabric for spring. Mesh, over a nylon layer, adds interest without weight. Silky and satiny fabrics are smooth and cool for those warm days and nights. Ribbed fabric gently clings for just the right mix of texture and comfort. Lace is always elegant.

All skirts call for a coordinated top. Match a flowing print pattern skirt with a solid sweater, T-shirt, blouse or cardigan. Wear a solid color skirt with one of the lightweight sweaters with gorgeous pops of color at Carly’z Craze. Merchandising manager Jodi Mead, a genius at coordinating outfits with the perfect combination of colors and style, put together several combinations to show me.
Denim continues to expand. Long denim skirts are showing in blue, white, black and rust. I saw a skirt that looked like denim but was actually a patchwork print on a stretchy fabric.

The clothes for girls — sizes start at 6 — are mini versions of women’s and teen styles. Even the girls are loving maxis. Floral prints continue to be a favorite, reinforcing the timeless charm of spring inspired patterns. Solid neon color dresses are as delicious as candy. Dressier outfits are silky, accented with embroidery, or feature eyelet fabric, while the more elevated everyday styles are in cotton or denim. Carly’z Craze has accessories that girls love. Look for crocheted headbands and bows for a playful yet sophisticated touch to outfits.
