On Tuesday, February 6, Ben Porat Yosef middle school students participated in a moving and meaningful tefillah trip to Congregation Ahavath Torah. Students joined together in tefillah at the Benaroya Sephardic Center. Afterwards they heard words of inspiration from Rabbanit Dina Acoca, a BPY educator, who shared her personal journey toward more meaningful and engaged religious observance. Following a delicious breakfast, students wrote about their own ideas for injecting more meaning into their own daily tefillot, among other innovative activities that emphasized the importance of connecting to Hashem on a regular basis. The trip was sponsored by BPY parent and grandparent, Solomon Bitton and Raphael Benaroya.
