Last week, RPRY students explored “Real Life” science with the Rutgers Science Explorer bus! Each day, different middle school grades engaged in hands on problem solving through various science experiments. The sixth grade investigated the outbreak of a disease and learned to identify the pathogen. The seventh graders were DNA detectives, identifying an unknown organism by exploring its DNA through electrophoresis and DNA isolation. Finally, the eighth graders were skeleton detectives, identifying the victims of a crime by examining skeletal bone molds. RPRY thanks Rutgers School of Arts and Sciences for sponsoring this fun and exciting program!
