Ma’ayanot Yeshiva High School is proud to announce that senior Atara Neugroschl has been named a National Merit Finalist. According to the National Merit Scholarship Corporation, 1.6 million high school students enter the scholarship competition each year when taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT). Students with the top 16,000 test scores are awarded semifinalist status. After a rigorous application process, Neugroschl was one of about 15,000 semifinalists who advanced to the prestigious finalist standing. National Merit Finalists receive scholarships totaling nearly $35 million. In addition to her academic success in school, Atara interned last summer in the Partners in Science Summer Program through the Liberty Science Center, studying osteoarthritis treatments at Rutgers University in the Biomedical Engineering Department. “We are so proud of Atara for her incredible academic achievements and for her even more stellar character,” said Ma’ayanot’s Principal Rivka Kahan.
